CC 01 Account Clerk/Assistant Bookkeeper

Performs calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. Posts business transactions, allotments, disbursements, payroll deductions, pay and expense vouchers, remittances, checks and claims. Totals accounts, computes and records interest charges, refunds, and similar items. May print vouchers, invoices, account statements, payrolls, periodic reports, and other records. May reconcile bank statements and complete books to or through trial balance. Job titles include: Inventory Control Clerk, Shipping and Receiving Clerk. Payroll Clerk, A/P or A/R Clerk.
