Receptionist/Data Entry Clerk

Receives callers at establishment; determines nature of business and directs calls to destination; Obtains callers’ names and arranges appointments.  Directs callers to destination and records name, time of call, nature of business, and person called.  May operate telephone system to receive incoming messages.  May type memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents.  May enter data into spreadsheets or databases.  Other job titles include:  Dispatcher, Front Office Desk Clerk, Office Assistant, Information Clerk, and Receptionist.
